In 1952, Abend Plumbing was founded by Carl Abend and his wife, Catherine. Carl had the distinction of being granted the second plumbing license in the state of Maryland. This company has been family-run ever since, and the reins have switched hands a couple of times over the years. The current owner is Katie Abend, who became owner in 2014. This plumbing business is woman-owned, and they celebrate diversity at every opportunity. The benefits of doing business with a woman-owned company are numerous!
